Mangalore, the port town of Southern India has a nice long coastal belt that can be a good spot for running along the beach. Places like Surathkal and Panamboor beach is particularly enchanting. Early morning run from the temple of Kadri up the Kadri hill and around the Kadri Park is quite exhausting and worth it. It is better to keep the running, jogging and the walks to early part of the day as the weather is likely to be warm for someone not used to the heat of the day. Further down south of Mangalore again the beautiful clean beaches of Ullal and the run along the Bridge of the river Nethravathy is exhilarating.
