I was in South Korea for fourteen months although that was over twenty seven years ago. It was mountainous where I was (north of Seoul) with few trees. The roads were primitive and the taxi drivers go like maniacs. You have to look out for bicycles too because they are everywhere. My running experience there was limited to our morning run from Camp Casey to Camp Hovey and back as a member of Headquarters Company of the 7th U.S. Infantry Division. No one gave us any flack, althought it might be different running on the public highways as a civilian. The Korean people were wonderful. I hope you enjoy your stay.
