About an hour out of Sydney (maximum) there is a surburban park called Farfield City Farm. It costs a few dollars to enter. There is good facilities (toilets, food etc.). A downside to the run is I'm not sure if the park is open during the week. There are regular runs on saturday mornings. The run is a long trails and is very very hilly. The track is called the Goanna Track and lives up to its name as goannas can be seen. Fundraising has been started to build a new trail that is planned to be 20 kilometres long. There is also a newly started annual fun run that was held late in October.
