Running at Chicago O'Hare International Airport. There is a long north/south street on the east side of the airport that extends for miles. The name of the street is Mannheim Ave. I used to run along that street heading south. If you are lucky, you'll run on a day that is close to one of the flight patterns so you'll get to see planes come in. Make sure you cover your ears or wear ear plugs if you are not used to airplane music and sure to run in the opposite direction of traffic if you go the ear plug route. As you leave the south east border of the airport you'll pass Schiller Park to the left. I used to live in that town. Keep going about two miles south and you'll hit Grand Ave. and Mannheim. I used to work in the building in the south west corner. A White Castles is on the east side of the intersection if you need some refueling during the run :-). For the uninitiated, White Castles is a notorious hamburger place that is - how shall I say? - the Liquid Plumber for your digestive system. Mannheim stretches for miles. I like the road because it is straight so it's hard to get lost. There are sidewalks on stretches of the road which provides some relief from the traffic. I warn you. It is not a pretty run but it will meet your needs.
