When in the Chicago area, there are two terrific places for running in the suburbs. The first is the Morton Arboretum in Lisle. The Arboretum has 10-12 miles of beautiful tree lined paved roads with some rolling hills and practically no vehicles. The other is the Illinois Prairie Path (a old retired railroad bed) that covers of 50 miles of western suburbs.
