If you're in the Itasca area, a Chicago suburb, and can't get to Busse Woods, the Chancellory Office Park in Itasca has a nice series of small lakes connected by a paved path that's popular for visiting runners. I would guess that the path is about 3 miles round trip. If you're staying at the Wyndham or the AmeriSuites, it's right there. Otherwise, park at the Wyndham. And watch out for the goose grease in the autumn.
