There are many good reasons for running in Bhutan (the crisp clean air, the beautiful views, little traffic and so on), but there are also some good reasons for not running in Bhutan (the narrow roads with sharp corners and reckless drivers, very few dogs are on leash and owners are not concerned about litigation, so runners would be fair game for most dogs). However, I do know of some serious runners who do run regularly, so if the above are not obstacles, here are some areas people could run. For the real serious: Thimphu (capital) to Wangdiphodrang (60 km!). Some Swiss guys do this regularly. Thimphu to Taba (18km). Walk: Motithang to God's Point (2 km approximately), good view. Bhutan is very hilly, so one will not be able to avoid sharp inclines every once in a while except in the lower elevations, but there it is almost tropical and very hot.
